Description:
This court case occurred when an African America train passenger refused to sit in the car designated for blacks only. Plessy argued that it was a violation of his of his constitutional rights, however the supreme court rejected his argument. The supreme court ruled that state laws (Jim Crow laws) between blacks on whites does not have a conflict with the 13th and 14th amendments.
