Oct. 1st, 1908
Description:
Henry Ford's Model T automobile revolutionized passenger travel and changed the way humans live forever. Although not the first car by any means, Ford's perfected assembly line allowed for the company to produce thousands of cars per year, whereas other automakers could only make a few hundred a year. With easier production and more cars made, the price became affordable for the middle class, and cars became a standard of everyday life. Previously, only the very wealthy owned cars. Ford's revolution in auto making has led to faster transportation and the creation of suburbs.
