aug 1, 1936 - The Winter and Summer Olympic Games
Description:
This event was important for German economic and publicity problems. The Germans created the largest stadium in the world (at the time). Millions of people have visited the site either during the Olympics or after. The Nazis covered up just how bad the treatment of the Jews was. This calmed the rest of the world down into thinking the news was wrong about the Germans.
