The battle at San Juan Hill was vital for the American victory over Spain in the Spanish American War. This battle changed the tide of the war and allowed for the United States to take the upper hand. Not only was this battle the turning point for the war, but it allowed for the famous Theodore Roosevelt to come into the light. He became well known for his victory, helping him to soon become the Vice President of the United States.
