Description:

As a punishment for the Boston Tea Party, Britain taxed the Colonists and told them what they can and cannot do. The Act consisted of the Port act, Government Act and others. The Port Act closed down all of the Colonies main ports and harbors so that they cannot trade with the rest of the world. The Government Act was to have a British official appointing the politicians to be in the Colonists government. This was the last push the Colonists needed to decide that the need to separate. This Act is what lead to the American Revolutionary War with Britain.
