Description:
Woodrow Wilson became the 28th president serving two terms. Some of his accomplishments include ratifying the 17th Amendment which allowed senators to be elected by the people of their respective states, rather than by legislatures. He created the Federal Reserve Act which became the U.S. dollar. He declared the second Sunday in May as “Mothers Day”. Also, in 1920, Wilson signed the 19th amendment that granted women the right to vote. He tried to keep the U.S. out of world war I.
