jan 4, 1767 - Townshend Act

Description:

1767. After the repeal of the Stamp Act this new act was implemented. This act did not work to resolve any of the tensions between Britain and the American colonies because it taxed more items than the previous stamp act. The Townshend act taxed lead, paint, paper, glass, and tea.
