Description:
The governing council received an anonymous letter complaining about Stradellas behavior. It claimed that "women were too ostentatious and that their husbands gave to much money 'to the Roman to touch their faces under the brazen pretense of fixing their hair; at Stradella and the Gobbo, I mean Carlo Ambrosio [Lonati], they throw money so that these brazen scoundrels can stay in Genoa'.
