Description:
On April 18th, the British redcoats marched to Concord to seize a stash of arms. Troops met in Lexington, and while it’s unclear which side fired first, some of the rebels were shot, beginning the first battle. The redcoats continued to Concord, where more militiamen were waiting and began another battle. While there were casualties on both sides, the militiamen had shown that they could stand up to one of the most powerful armies in the world.
