Description:
The battle of Gettysburg was short when the Confederates commander, Lee commanded a very unsuccessful “Pickett’s Charge” and the Union soldiers opened fire and killed more than half the Confederates forcing them to retreat towards Virginia. This fast Union victory was a major turning point in the Civil War with the most casualties and led to Vicksburg the following day.
