Because of Shreya’s job as an outspoken Tregaronian lobbyist, she has to know how to defend herself from haters who could potentially attack her. She teaches Noah some of these skills. Although he is only three years old, she pushes him past his limits. Aidan expresses his disagreement. Aidan and Shreya often argue, and sometimes it turns into violence (on Shreya's part).
