jan 20, 1920 - 18th Amendment
Description:
The 18th Amendment was put in to place to solve a nation-wide problem, alcohol consumption. The sale, production and transport of alcohol became illegal. But instead of fixing this "problem," the consumption of alcohol stayed about the same until the Amendment was repealed in 1933. This amendment created many mobs and gangs, as well as rising many to power through the sale of alcohol.
