Description:
January 7th, 1942 marked the beginning of the Battle of Bataan. U.S. troops were quickly pushed to the Bataan peninsula by the Japanese. President Roosevelt foresaw that the Philippines would be last, ordered General Douglas MacArthur's capture would be demoralizing to all Americans. FDR orders MacArthur to evacuate to Austalia.
