3 effects were:
1.) The Black Sea trade crashed .
2.) Ottomans became a strong Muslim power with control over over a lot of Eastern Europe. (For the 1st time, Muslims had more power than Christians in that area)
3.) Greek scholars left Constantinople because of the Ottomans, and went to Italy at the beginning of the Renaissance.
