apr 19, 1775 - Battle of Lexington and Concord

On the night of April 18th 1775, in Massachusetts, 700 British troops marched from Boston to Concord in order to seize arms cache. One rider by the name of Paul Revere sounded the alarm warning men that the British are coming. 77 militiamen began to muster up on the town green to intercept the Redcoats. A British major shouted the words, "Throw down your arms! Ye villains, ye rebels." At the is moment the militiamen had been ordered to disperse when a shot had rang out. After the battle was over, the British decided to retreat causing the British to march all the way back to the city of Boston. Still to this day, nobody knows who or which side fired first. This battle took place on the Lexington town green. Their allies involved Paul Revere and William Dawes. The method of fighting they used, was the standard arrangement which the most common "Ready, Aim, Fire!" In other words Guerrilla Warfare.
The British Allies of course were the United States and France.
