Acts passed by British Parliament including Chancellor of the Exchequer Charles, in attempt to impose duties on glass, lead, paints, paper and tea imported into the colonies. ex: Colonists were taxed on lead, painters' colors, paper and tea, which resulted in the coloinsts infamous chant, "no taxation without representation."
