Description:
Under the rule of Genghis Khan the Mongol Empire implemented a nation-wide messenger and postal station. These postal stations were used for the transmission and delivery of official mail, however they were also available to traveling officials, military, and foreign dignitaries. This system not only improved communication, but trade as well.
