nov 1, 1884 - Leo Frank was born (1884)
Description:
Leo Max Frank was an American factory superintendent who was convicted in 1913 of the murder of a 13-year-old employee, Mary Phagan, in Atlanta, Georgia. His trial was likely unfair because Leo was Jewish. Frank was sentenced to a life in prison but it was cut short when he was kidnapped from his cell and lynched in Mary Phagan's yard. Watson promoted some of the discrimination during Frank's trial.
