Description:
The Cotton Expositions were established to promote Atlanta’s rebuilding from the Civil War, its industrial capabilities and accomplishments, and to lure northern investment into the city and region. Booker T. Washington was connected to the exposition because he gave the Atlanta Compromise speech at the event.
