Description:
Immediate Effects:
- Allowed the monarch of England, King Henry VIII at the time, to marry and divorce without the permission of the pope.
- Created the Church of England, of which the monarch of England, King Henry VIII at the time, would be ruler of the church and control all aspects of it.
- Caused the Treason Act to be passed, making it punishable by death to deny the legitimacy of the Act of Supremacy
