Description:
This was the beginning of Mexico's Independence. This "grito", shout, was made by the priest Miguel Hidalgo. He rang the church's bells and encouraged people to fight for their freedom. In this war that lasted 10 years, many revolts and war occured inside the country. Enraged mexicans took their weapons, which included from shotguns to kitchen knives. This mob began fighting again Spaniards and their army, which resulted in thousands of people dead.
