Second English settlement.
Puritan Separatists (about 100) led by William Bradford who embrraked aboard the Mayflower in September. Disembarked at Plymouth Rock and began their settlement on Decembert 21, 1620. Known as the Pilgrim Fathers. Settlement based more on religious ideals than on economus purposes (as opposed to Jamestown)
