feb 10, 1763 - The Treaty of Paris
Description:
The Treaty of Paris formally established Britain's victory in The Seven Years War. France had to give up its territory in North America, Canada, and the territory east of the Mississippi River to Britain, and Louisiana to Spain. France's claim on most of its territories in India went to Britain as well. After this resolution, France's empire was drastically smaller, while Britain's growth had continued and its empire was drastically larger. The North American territories Britain now claimed were extremely profitable and Britain's economy flourished.
