Description:
The Nationalist forces were led by the Kumingtong and Chiang-Kai-Shek. The communist forces were led by the CPC (Communist Party of China). Both forces wanted to control China, and the Kumington advanced far north into Manchuria, but lost many of their best troops in Manchuria to the CPC. As a result, the Nationalist government retreated to Taiwan resulting in a communist victory.
