Everyday Dave worked hard. He fought the most dangerous flames in the city. The top firefighter. Carl did not like him because he believed Dave was going to take his top spot as firefighter of the month. Dave did have one friend named Alex. Alex and Dave made a great team and were always side by side. One day there was a tremendous fire. All the firefighters had to go try to stop it. Dave and Alex were on the top floor looking for trapped citizens when a board fell on Alex. He didn’t make it. Dave was also injured by a collapsed wall. Dave swore never to be a firefighter again.
