Description:
Aristotle, with whom I have a long-standing, personal opposition to, suggests that the heart is the mechanism of mental processes. Plato suggested earlier that the mind is the mechanism of mental processes. Greek thinkers had very little interest in the inner workings of man and their speculations are characteristically cosmological, not psychological.
