Description:
After China joined the war, the war could probably not be won without huge commitments of troops or nuclear weapons. Truman did not want either of these but MacArthur did not agree with him. MacArthur did not want to fight a limited war for only a certain purpose. After he realized he couldn't get through Truman, he wrote the Republican house representative. Truman later saw it and fired MacArthur.
