nov 20, 1950 - MacArthur Attacks North of 38th Parallel
Description:
A highly confident MacArthur attacks North Korea to punish them for the invasion, despite warnings from the Chinese that they will respond if the US attacks North Korea. Despite freezing conditions, the Allies reached the Chinese border at the Yalu river by Thanksgiving. MacArthur favored an invasion of China and attacked Truman's "limited war" approach. He was then fired by Truman for insubordination.
