Description:
In 1909, Millikan began a series of experiments to find the electric charge carried by a single electron. He started by measuring the course of charged water droplets in an electric field. The results to this said that the charge of the droplets is a multiple of the electric charge, but these experiments were not very accurate. So he collected more precise results in 1910 with his oil drop experiment.
