mar 21, 1929 - Orwell seeks help from Boris
Description:
Without a job or any money, Orwell is now living on six francs a day. He decides to seek help from Boris who promised him any help after their meeting. After meeting Boris, Orwell discovers he is worse off than him, and actually spends his six francs a day to help Boris. For the next few weeks, Orwell and Boris set out to find any work they can grasp.
"It was now absolutely necessary to find work, and I remembered a friend of mine, a Russian waiter named Boris,
who might be able to help me. I had first met him in the
public ward of a hospital, where he was being treated for arthritis in the left leg. He had told me to come to him if I were
ever in difficulties."
