Alfred Adler was a follower of Freud's and attended Freud's pscyhoanalytical meetings in his apartment. Was the first to explore the idea of the individual self. Founded a school of psychology called individual psychology. Coined the term "inferiority complex". Felt that social connections were important in childhood development rather than Freud's sexual stages.
