sep 27, 1940 - Tripartite Pact
On this date, in agreement with the Tripartite Pact Italy and Germany declared war on the United States. The Tripartite Pact was signed between Germany, Italy, and Japan it meant that there was mutual assistance should any of theses nations suffer an attack by any nation not already involved in a war. This resulted in U.S. President Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchhill coming up with a plan to take out the European threat before focusing on Japan. This plan became the Germany First Strategy.
