dec 7, 1941 - Pearl Harbor

Description:

On November 20th the Japanese navy had dispatched aircraft carriers to Hawaii, and on 7 th December they bombed the Naval Base in Hawaii. This killed 2471 people, sank or damaged 19 ships, destroyed 188 airplanes, and also 8 battleships. This, even as a response to the US stopping the shipment of steel and scrap iron to countries on the Western Hemisphere apart from the UK, was a dire response to an economic rectification. It made the US drop its neutrality and declare war on Japan as Germany and Italy also declared war on the US.
