Description:
After the Kansas-Nebraska act was passed, pro-slavery citizens living across the country raced to Kansas hoping to sway the vote in their favor. After a brutally cold winter, the pro-slavery army from Lawrence went to the Free-Soilers home looking for conflict. Anti-slavery propogana spread throughout North after this.
