oct 7, 1763 - The Royal Proclamation (1763)

Description:

The Royal Proclamation, a document that was formed in 1762, was to set the basis of administrative details in the Northwest Territories and to settle issues with the Indigenous people, which as a result, led to the Royal Proclamation to also be known as the “Indian Magna Carta.” Another reason why this proclamation was so vital to our history was because it was one of the factors that initiated the American Revolution in 1755.
