jan 2, 1946 - In 1946 was instituted the ASQC (American Society for Quality Control) and its President-elect, George Edwars, said on that occasion: "the quality is going to play an increasingly important role along with the competition on cost and sales price, and any company that "fails to get some sort of arrangement to ensure effective control of the quality will be forced ultimately to see face to face to a kind of competition that will not leave you triumphant"
