sep 4, 1774 - First Continental Congress
The first continental congress was called together on September 5th to October 26th, 1774, in response to Britain’s Intolerable Acts. It’s main purpose was to discuss the colonists’ plan to react to the acts. It made the Continental Association which was boycotting British goods, and if it wasn't fixed in a year, to fully stop exports and imports to and from Britain. This First Continental Congress was a big step towards uniting the colonies and becoming a strong united nation.
