-much of this is due to unsanitary conditions and no access to clean water
-Our waste is a vehicle for the spread of many diseases
- We produce 13 gallons of waste a year
-10% of that is bacteria
-Also 1 billion viral particles
-Toilets started in Rome
-Sanitation is the leading cause of the increase of life expectancy over the years
