jun 15, 1767 - Townshend Acts

Description:

Series of four acts created by Britain to assert their control over the colonies. They took power away from the colonial governments and made stricter rules for collecting money. The colonies did not accept these with open arms, they were very angry. These acts were eventually repealed on March 5, 1770.
