Description:
Increased and unfair taxes caused American colonists to declare independence from England. The main idea was taxation without representation and the colonists were tired of it. War exploded between the British and the colonists in America. Thomas Jefferson, a political leader, had written a Declaration of Independence and in July of 1776, it was signed and put into action. This caused Europeans to lose contact with America which was a huge blow to their trade and communication.
