In this continued anti-revolution push, The Constitution of 1795 is written. It contained a two house legislature and a committee of five called the Directory. The Directory would rule until 1799
The directory experiments with voting. They also led the war with the help of merit based officers. They were able to push back the invasion and even had their own Dutch satellite state.
