Committee of Ten: 1892, formed to address the issue of should high school be used as a college preparatory school or to teach more practical courses. Composed of educators with Charles Eliot (president of Harvard university) as chairman. They came with 4 different curricula the first two focused on classical and Latin scientific, the other two more contemporary with modern language, English, math, foreign language, science, and English history.
