The First Continental Congress was a meeting of 56 delegates . The delegates met at Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia. There were delegates from every colony, besides Georgia. They adopted a renewed boycott of British goods. They also called to the people of the English colonies to arm themselves and to form militias.
