Description:
The Algerian War was essentially an independence movement in which the native Algerians fought to free themselves from French colonial rule due to the false and unfilled promises made by France after WW2. The National Liberation Front(NFL) began a guerilla war against France in order to receive diplomatic recognition at the UN so that a sovereign Algerian state can be established.
