Description:
The Second Continental Congress included declaring independence from Britain, and they acted as the government during the American Revolution. Because the 2nd Continental Congress was so successful in governing and controlling the army, it showed that a national army was possible and that the Colonies could work together. This resulted in North America winning the American Revolution and finding a common identity. Because the 2nd Continental Congress was so successful, it resulted in the Congress thats still a part of America's government today.
