The Sons of Liberty are formed on August 1, 1765. The Sons of Liberty was formed to further advance the rights of European colonists and to help protest the taxes placed on by the British government. The Sons of Liberty participated in the Boston Tea Party dressing up as Native Americans, boarding 3 ships, and throwing out a total of 342 chests of tea to express their anger regarding the Sugar Act.
