mar 22, 1765 - The Stamp Act

Description:

The Stamp Act passed by Parliament required colonists to pay a tax on every single piece of printed paper they would use. They would tax ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, and playing cards. Colonists would rebel and terrorize British tax collectors and they would quit their job so much that the tax was repealed.
