Description:
The Reign of Terror was a period of time that spanned from Sep 5- Jul 27 in which tens of thousands of people were beheaded under the rule of Robespierre. It was seen as a way to remove all possibilities of a counterrevolution. The French common folk sentenced priests, nobles, and foreigners to death with no chance of trial of the jury. Not to mention that this method was also abused by Robespierre so he could get rid of his political opponents to further cement himself into power.
