may 5, 326 BC - Bucephalus Dies

Description:

When Alexander the Great was young, he asked his father for a horse. This horse was out of control, but Alexander figured out that it was only afraid of its own shadow. So he turned it towards the sun and rode off. This horse was named Bucephalus, and he was with Alexander the Great on his journey. However during the battle of Hydaspes, India, he was said to have passed away to either wounds or age.
