Description:
The Quartering act was a new law that was passed that allowed British soldiers to reside in colonists homes. Just as the colonists were recovering from the stamp act, the British imposed new costs on the colonists. The colonists also had to provide candles, food, vinegar, salt, and beer/cider for the soldiers.
